#THE J. GEILS BAND T SHIRT FULL#

#THE J. GEILS BAND T SHIRT MOVIE#
" Oh these are the guys from the Adam Sandler movie ". so funny ! This was a bit of a tough crowd for this northeast band at first. The girl next to me was being restrained by her rather rattled date. tighter, intense, visceral & sexy hot ! I was sitting with a bunch of young Georgia peaches & saw them lose their minds. The boys came out like a freight train in flames & never let up !! I hadn't seen them in years & never expected that much energy from vintage rockers. when you go alone it's easy to ace a good spot. I got my ticket to the Bob Seger /JGeills venue at the Gwinnett Center near Atl.

I knew these fine, talented folks when they were just getting it together & it was pretty obvious where they were headed !I had been back stage as a guest several time & it never occurred to me how much I was missing by not being front & center as an audience member. Geils Band have played intermittently throughout the years since then.

The band quickly disbanded, and were not seen together until 1999, where they embarked on a reunion tour. Ironically, having worked for over a decade to reach the top of the charts, tensions within the band got unbearable, and Wolf left the band a few years later, citing “artistic differences”.

Not only did the album do well, but the lead single “Centerfold” charted at number one and number three in the US and UK respectively. It even saw overseas success for the first time for the band, reaching the UK top 20. The LP was an out and out triumph for the band, reaching the top of the US charts, selling platinum figures, and staying there for four weeks. Towards 80’s the band progressed onto a new-wave sound, showing their versatility as a group once again and in 1981, after releasing 11 albums to varying chart success, they hit the jackpot with their 12th studio album, “Freeze Frame”. During this time, critics singled out Magic Dick for his original use of the harmonica as a primary instrument within the band. They obtained radio play with their covers of soul classics such as “Lookin’ For A Love” and “Ain’t Nothin But a Houseparty”. Throughout the 70s the band gained recognition for their blues bar sound, with R&B tones and soul influences oozing out of their releases. They were signed in 1970 to Atlantic Records, and released their eponymous debut that same year. At this point, the J.Geils Band was born. “Magic Dick” on harmonica, going under the guise “'Snoopy and the Sopwith Camels”īy the late 1967 the band decided to switch up their approach, changing to electronic guitars and adding a drummer, Stephen Jo Bladd, an organist, Seth Justman, as well as a new vocalist and frontman in Peter Wolf. The group was originally an acoustic trio during the early 60’s, featuring original front man and guitarist John Geils, Danny Klein on bass, and Richard Salwitz a.k.a.
